Appearance: He has semi-long hair, down to about his neck, with side bangs parted on the left side to the right. Hair is dark chocolate brown and doesn’t lie completely flat on his head. Lie’s eyes are also dark chocolate brown, but kind and playful, though when in deep sorrow, his eyes can convey tremendous grief. He’s got a kind smile, but also can convey sarcasm easily with that smile too. He’s got pale-ish skin, not as pale as someone who stays indoors all day, but slightly paler than most guys. He’s actually quite feminine looking – he’s not muscular, and pretty skinny. He has the appearance that gains lots of swarming fangirls XD.

He wears different clothing and doesn’t have a specific thing he wears everyday. He wears fairly formal clothing in general, like a plain white blouse or a suit with black pants, except at home or when going out casually, for usually, he’s at work being a professional chef. His chef’s uniform includes a black tie, an immaculate white collared blouse, black dress pants, and a long black apron. His one special item of clothing is his black hat – which he wears when performing his cooking skills. This hat has a round rim, and is decorated with dark colored jewels. He has one small silver earring on his left ear.

Personality: Leng Lie has the spirit of a prince. He is a very poised and powerful chef, though when in a casual environment, he acts friendly, though doesn’t completely get into things (i.e. he isn’t a total party person). He rarely acts out of line, like he rarely ever does anything to an extreme, does anything rash, or reveals any of his immediate reactions – everything he does, he thinks about many times first before acting, unless of course something unexpected happens and he unconsciously does something, but overall, he maintains his pleasant demeanor (he expresses his emotions subtly). He doesn’t talk that much, and gets edgy when people are too overly nice to him. He acts sophisticated and hides his true feelings, but he is able to confide in his sorrows with those whom he trusts most. He is a total gentleman, very proud of his work and ability as a chef. He’s rich, but understands that money doesn’t come easily. He hates it when people look down on him just because of his age, because his skill in cooking is higher than many older people. Sometimes, he just comes up with a random recipe and executes it to make some exquisite delicacy. He cooks when he’s in times of grief, just to get his mind off of things, but he also cooks when he’s in a happy mood. He values his pride very highly, as he is an internationally acclaimed chef, everyone gives him much respect. He is uncomfortable in an environment of chaos, random people talking to him, and among the “lower class”. Everything he does is high class and elegant. However, his pride doesn’t make him too arrogant; he’s just one who stands by, not forcing people to respect him, but just there, cold and cool. He just doesn’t want to seem “low class”.

He likes challenging the limits, thinking that he can do better than others. He acts very royal, very sophisticated, walking with his back straight, arms crossed. He is tolerate of others as long as they don’t do anything to offend him. He pursues the ultimate gourmet cooking, developing his own dishes, and searching for the spirit of cuisine, not just the technicality.

He watches over those that are important to him, but doesn’t push things along. He does everything he possibly can for the one he loves, even if it means doing everything for her though she doesn’t return his feelings. He wants to protect those people that mean everything to him, but also want them to be happy, not caring for how much he gets hurt himself. He will give up everything for those he love, even his pride.

Abilities/Strengths: He’s an amazing chef, internationally recognized. Also with this comes the ability to taste a dish and know exactly how it’s made, the method as well as all the ingredients no matter how exquisite. He is a very proper gentleman, with near perfect cuisine, musical taste, and very graceful – the epitome of perfect dining enjoyment.

Weaknesses: He holds onto grudges, not letting them go easily. He also falls for love; he doesn’t know what to do about true love and those whom he loves are those who matter to him above all other things.

He thinks that he’s the best chef, and sometimes is overconfident about this fact, for he looks down on those who aren’t as professional.

He is a perfectionist and cannot tolerate messy and unclean things. He always wants everything exactly how it should be – meaning if something doesn’t go the way he wants it to, he works to make it right.

History: He is a Cordon Bleu professionally trained chef, and comes from a wealthy family that owns a huge company/restaurant internationally known. At age 14, he competed with the greatest chefs in the world, being a graduate of the imperial kitchen Kafka Cuisine Training Institute. At age 18, he opened his own creative restaurant on Fifth Avenue of the United States which became a three-star restaurant (highest marking in this world). His cuisine standards are very high, and all around the world, people admire him for this. His father owns the Imperial Hotel restaurant and has allowed him to take his place as the director and head of the restaurant. However, the other chefs look down upon him just because of his young age. They all decided to show their incompetence by resigning, but Lie took on the challenge by, in the short time of two hours, preparing each of their specialty dishes and telling them to “kindly criticize” him. They were all speechless.

He grew up with a girl called Xiao Shu, who became a very famous and admired song writer and singer. However, on Valentine’s day, two years ago, Leng Lie finally decided to confess his love to her. Unfortunately, on that day, as he drove her home, an unexpected car accident happened, which took away Xiao Shu’s eyesight. Leng Lie blames himself completely for this tragic accident and tries every possible way to help Xiao Shu, including taking her to famous doctors and trying to gain back her eyesight. However, Xiao Shu, knowing that Lie loves her, doesn’t return his feelings because she doesn’t want to love based on remorse. Lie changed dramatically after the accident in order to gain Xiao Shu’s trust, but no matter what he does, she rejects him completely. When she meets a local chef acclaimed for his special Fried Rice dish, she gradually falls in love with him, which Lie’s heart shatters as he watches their relationship grow from the sidelines. All he wants is for Xiao Shu to be happy, for he feels that he owes her so much. Xiao Shu hates how he’s so nice to her, but Lie is always able to find some way of aiding her and helping her on with her life.
